I’m looking for some crowd-sourced info!
One of the more common questions I get is, "What's this van worth?" The reality is...it's hard to tell, as all we ever see is the asking price. I too struggled with this when we sold our Vanagon. I just wanted a fair price, so I based my asking price off of what others were asking. After the van sat for sale for months, it was clear that people were way off with their asking prices…and I mean not even close! If they expected to sell any time in the near future (or ever, frankly), something had to give.
So, I created a form for people to submit actual sold prices for Vanagons. You can submit as a buyer or seller! In turn, the final product of this data is made freely available in the table below. (If you just submitted an entry give it some time. It will eventually refresh the data.) The goal is to provide a tool to help determine a fair price for future buyers and sellers.
Feel free to submit past purchases to help build a historical market view!
I tried to make this as simple as possible with all questions being simple pick-lists for the most part. All info is collected via a Google Form and will be anonymous. Should only take you a minute or less to complete.

Data
The embedded Google Spreadsheet below includes all submitted entries. Make sure you scroll left-and-right and up-and-down to view the full document.
Also, please keep in mind that this is all crowd-sourced data. If someone is lying we have no way of knowing. That being said, I will do periodic audits for any entries that don’t make sense or seem suspicious.
If you want to view the actual spreadsheet where you can sort data or download a copy for yourself, go here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KlbZspKOTLVcn5j4OljnoqenY5PML8UKprt6nQwLRiQ/edit?usp=sharing
